    Laptop getting very hot these days...Help

    My ASUS M50VM-A1 laptop has been getting very hot these days and the FAN is running faster and louder whereas before you could not even hear anything.

    What can i do to make it cool down?

    Dissasemble and use compressed air to blow out the dirt around the fan and heatsink.

    What do you mean by compressed air? like vacuum or something?

    You can buy compressed air in a can at most computer store. Simple method would be ot blow in from the exhaust vents. that should dislodge most dust particles and blow them back out the input ports. If that does not work. It maybe that the heatsink compound have became dried and brittle. If the laptop is already out of warranty, you might try taking it apart and clean the old compound off and apply new one.
