Did this laptop come with Factory Win 7 or Win8? I suspect it is Win8 and could be you that when you downgraded to Win7 you didn't load all the right drivers and now experiencing ghost system problems. Go to the HP user forum and ask the MODs there for all the drivers you will need for a Win7 install and most likely your missing a driver that controls the battery detection.

Check with those MODs at HP forum they are good at finding missing drivers.

Actually they said to me I should update and reset the bios but that didn't fix the problem

Also they made me check if there is any missing drivers and the tool said I am installing all drivers

Have you tried a known working AC adapter? If not an AC adapter issue, could be a motherboard.

the problem isn't about the charger, the charger is working perfectly the problem is when i use laptop on battery, sometimes it detect a charger for a second then back to normal

I asked HP about the problem and they recommended me i should reinstall windows 8.1/10 because of driver problem

sadly i am in love with windows 7 and i hate windows 10 problems

Yeah, love makes us do stupid things. :D :D :D

You're using your computer with an older O/S than what it was designed for. This is expected.

Backup all your data and try every single driver (in order and rebooting at least twice before going to the next one) available for that model (even if it is the Win8.1 driver). With any luck you will find the right driver that is missing and will get rid of that last glitch for you.

(But, I'd be prepared to do a full/clean reinstall afterwards).

Well, I can love win8.1 too

I messed up with the drivers in win7.. I will try win8.1 to make sure it's not a hardware problem then will roll back to win7

Good plan. I just assumed that it was working/tested when you first received it. :)

Sounds like the battery driver/software might be missing in 7 and causing the problem... I don't think it's a hardware problem.. Like tiller suggested, go to 8.1, full clean install and then see if this happens... What's wrong with 8.1? I personally found it to be more stable then 7...

Windows 8.1 fixed a lot of stuff for me. charger problem ,brightness, fn button and games weren't working

    I like 8.1 but I love windows 7

Windows 8.1 and 10 I find them more for tablets than for Pc, laptops

But I will keep using Windows 8.1

You can always use Startdock and those other applications to make 8.1 look like 7... You'll be fine :)

XP to me looks ugly and Win7 looks cartoonish compared to Win8.1 and especially Win10.

Startdock is like plastic surgery for your O/S gone wrong... :)
