Hi,
I haven't really gotten a lot experience with how much LCDs are supposed to bleed light, but anyways, here is the light bleeding on my new notebook. Is this amount considered a lot?

Assuming that the color is pure black, I would say so too. Sadly, light bleeding is difficult to avoid nowadays.
But I'm sure that once your parts arrive, and the screen busy, you will be satisfied. -
... actually that's not bad at all. a bit annoying sure, but it would have to much more to be considered bad.
the glare screen makes it look worse also

Its not great, but not real bad either.
Return it and get a different one, if you are concerened about it. You paid the money, make sure you are satisfied. -
