    Hi Guys,
I have a laptop with a DDR2 of 533 of 1Gb (RAM). I'd like to buy another "card" of 1Gb, and I checked out and now the DDR2 of 667 are cheaper than the 533. Would it be perfectly fine if I install a 667 together with my 533. I know that it will be underclocked to 533 all together, but it is cheaper. Or, do you guys recommend to just get another 533?
Also, is it fine to combine different brands of RAM as long as both are DDR2? Mine is a Corsair, and I was thinking to get a Kingmax.
Actually to go on more detail, this are my options:

    Kingmax 667: $ 20
    Corsair 667: $ 29
    Kingmax 533: $ 24
    Corsair 533: Not available.

    Thanks a lot.

It's perfectly fine to install 667 MHz memory and it's also fine to mix brands. Just buy something with a lifetime warranty (which all of those should offer). Get the best bang for the buck, ya know?

Like vespoli said, it will be fine if you install 667MHz memory.

Have a look at the RAM Deals thread for some more information and good deals.
