Hey guys I need some more help =/.

I have been looking everywhere. I contacted HP, and they do not sell the parts themselves, but they gave me a number to call. They have some sort of parts division, as one of you mentioned before.

I am going to call them tomorrow, but just in case they cannot help me out, I need your help locating a motherboard online.

    Laptop model #: dv6447om
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/...00&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&product=3446955&lang=en
    (specification list)

    The motherboard must have:

-Integrated or dedicated 7300, 7400, or 7600, or anything else that you can find equivalent to one of these cards...

-Can fit within a 15.4" laptop

    -Supports 533/667 FSB

I hope you guys can help me out. I spent hours today looking for some, and I only found one that had a 7600, but it was for the dv9000 series. It also costs about $385, beyond what I can afford. I mean, even if the it does cost a lot, please post it. Thanks in advanced.

I'm afraid I have to agree with andyasselin, the effort and cost would far outweigh the effectiveness of the machine as such upgrades generally in laptops are very very difficult to perform.

You might do better to sell your current machine and buy something made to be more powerful.

Well, in order to get a decent graphics board on a laptop I would have to shell out $1,300+. They are also few laptops available from hp with such options. And, I am aware of how long it will take to swap out my motherboard.

Also, if I buy a mobile motherboard for about $100-$200 with some better integrated or dedicated graphics solution I would still be saving money. If it cost more than that say $250-300-350, then I may have to think about it, but I will be saving some money. I can reuse my RAM, processor, HDD, and laptop shell w/ monitor, etc, etc. I still would be saving a decent amount.

You see, I paid around $770, since it was on sale, and it does not work out to benefit me, if I sell my laptop and buy a new one.

I am going to call the parts store today anyways, I was just wondering if any of you guys spotted something I did not.
