    Hi
i am running half life 2 on my fujitsu amilo m1437g and i have started to notice that it gets really hot underneath after a while, especially when i am using themy laptop on my lap or on my bed.
I was wondering if there are any laptop coolers out there which could allow me to use my lappy on my lap unrestricted of any bottom fan issues.

    Any recommendations?

It's natural for the laptop to get warm - all the internal components of the laptop in such a small place are bound to get warm or hot.

It is not a good idea to use them on your bed/couch - blocking the fans is going to cause your laptop to overheat. Keep good ventilation underneath the notebook at all times.

I'd get a cooling pad. The aluminum ones by Vantec are excellent.

I'd say it's perfectly fine to use your laptop on bed/couches and cardboard boxes, etc, as long as it's in a low power mode, because it runs cooler than usually.

When you're running your laptop in a higher power mode then of course it's not a good idea to use it on bed sheets, etc.

Don't worry about it getting warm, it's completely normal. People don't realize how hot their desktops get, because they're not in constant contact with the tower like we are with our laptops.

    Cheers,
    Mike

not familiar with that model, but in general if you have intakes or exhausts on the bottom, it is a VERY bad idea to put it on a bed or soft surface, because that would just eliminate cooling.

There are some fanless cooling pads . It won't have results as good as one with fans, but it's silent and more practical to move around with IMO.
