do other sounds come out but just not music?
have you messed with msconfig at all? if so, might you have accidentally prevented your sound drivers from starting?

Currently I use Quanta KN1-PM laptop. I didn't try updating the driver and it kind of strange when today I decide to disconnect the external speaker from the laptop after a long period did not listen music from the laptop speakers.

I'm not sure what happened, today I had installed NHC but didnt mess with it. After realizing what was happening, I bet it could be NHC program and uninstalled it but it didnt help.

    Should I reinstall the windows?

    Thanks for helps

Not only music but everything. I try play music/movie with different player but it still the same. I'm not sure I mess with msconfig since I havent use it for a long time.

The External jack on most laptop have a built-in switch that get's activated when you connect the plug of external speakers or headphones.

I would venture to say that somehow, the switch has not made contact to it's default position when a plug is not present.

You can try to plug and unplug your external speaker several times and if this does not work, you will have to have the jack repalced.
