Hi I currently have a XPS M1530 laptop with a 8600M GT graphics card and a T5750 CPU.

I was thinking to buy the T9500 CPU to upgrade my laptop, but I was just curious, what other laptops can support it? I was wondering because when the time comes and I buy a new laptop to upgrade my graphics card card, I can pay less to get one with a slightly worse CPU and just use the T9500 that I will buy.

If you don't really understand my question let me know il try to be a little clearer if i can.

Any laptop with a PM965 or GM965 chipset. They should also be supported by PM45 and GM45 but it might depend on the BIOS support too.

Almost any Core 2 Duo laptop will support the T9500, especially since it's based on the older 800 MHz FSB (not 1066 MHz), especially if its GPU is better than the 8600 GT (which probably means it will have a Core 2 Duo anyway).

The Intel Mobile Processor Compatibility Guide tells us the following chipsets support a T9500:

    GM965 533/667/800
    PM965 533/667/800

    GM45 533/667/800/1066
    PM45 533/667/800/1066

i was looking at sager and i found that this one is the cheapest upgrade to GPU they have for me:
    http://www.sagernotebook.com/product_customed.php?pid=177856

although the default build comes with a slightly stronger cpu anyways.

I'm just wondering if maybe there are any cheaper alternatives, maybe where i could recycle most pieces from my m1530 (like the ram, HD, CPU), hell even buying a laptop that was just the mobo and gfx that could support the rest would be awesome, im trying to find the most cost effective way to upgrade.

This is a good option. Unfortunately, Best Buy doesn't have new ones for sale any more.

I bought one a month-and-a-half ago and upgraded the CPU to a T9600. It's awesome now, although it was quite competent with the P7350 as well.

You could try looking at the barebones kits available at RJTech.com. I'm pretty sure the Sager NP2098 you listed is listed at RJTech as the Compal KHLB2. From there, you can configure the parts you don't have, and then install the parts you do after it arrives. Or, of course, you can look at the other barebones available if you'd rather get something else. I'd almost recommend the M865TU barebones they have, but that would cost about as much as a non-barebones NP2098, so I don't know if that would fit in your budget or not.

Oh, also note that the Compal uses DDR3 RAM, and your M1530 uses DDR2, so you won't be able to use your current RAM in the Compal.

ASUS G51J with core i7 full hd screen and GTX260M is a better option buyt it costs $1499... Its more futureproof compared to the sager... Core 2 Duo are becomming old now with corei7 out...

If you want the latest and greatest, sure, but the fact remains... most people don't need an i7. Also note that the M865TU barebones I listed costs only $979, not even two-thirds the cost of the Asus, and lets him reuse his XPS M1530 parts. The M770SUN (17") and W765TUN (15.6") are also available, could probably use his T9500, and cost $560 and $499 respectively, although they use a G105M graphics card. The question all depends on what the OP intends to do with his machine... and since he was looking at a NP2098 in the first place, even the M865TU I suggested is probably overkill.

Compaq CQ61, 71 and HP G61 (Intel Based) should support T9500 as well. since these laptops comes with Intel GL40 chipset which can handle 800Mhz without any problems. currently I'm with CQ61 with Celeron M T3000 800Mhz FSB CPU.
