HI All,
With really high hopes i am posting this message here.
i brought an Acer laptop from USA and the model# is Aspire-5735-4774.
Now this is the story behind its not working condition.
the power switch was not working properly and my brother did some mechanical stuff and removed the power switch plastic from laptop and then we start using a conductor device to manualy presses the power internal switch to turn it on.
it works fine till one day the conductor touched some internal part of motherboard near its power switch and then the spark happend due to some short circuiting .after this the laptop is not turning on.
I went to Acer service center in India and they are saying they don't have the component(or IC i guess) which is not working on motherboard so they can't change it and hence it is not reparable in India.
after some discussion i come to know that it is the super I/O power IC (i am not sure about the name) that is not available here in India.
So guys any idea which super I/O he is talking about and its detail on that particular model ?
where can i purchase this IC from US or UK online or on delevery??
and how much will be the cost for it?
I really need this laptop and i am loosing hope on it, as there is no way i am getting positive response.this forum is my last hope.
guys please suggest.i will be very very thankful.

Maybe ask the seller:
http://shop.ebay.com/i.html?_nkw=As...&_odkw=Aspire+5735+4774+motherboard&_osacat=0
I have sent a message to an ebay seller who didn't want to ship outside the US, but I asked him nicely and he said ok and shipped to me in Australia.
Last hope....Problem in My Acer laptop model:Aspire-5735-4774
