I am looking for the Latitude XT tablet hard drive cable, if anyone has one or a damaged XT, please let me know. Or if you know where one can be purchased. I am talking about the cable that connects the hard drive to the motherboard.
    A handsome reward awaits u!!!

This is Dell part number JN190 and is technically called a ZIF Interposer for IDE drives.

Unfortunately, it is much overpriced for what it is and does.
Prices range from about US$50 at Discount Technology ( http://discountechnology.com/Dell-Original-JN190-ZIF-Interposer-for-IDE-drives) to over US$90 at BIGeSTOCK ( http://www.bigestock.com/detail.php?price=92.41&part=7402308).

I have not found it listed directly at www.dell.com but you may be able to order it by phone if you find a willing tech. Internal cost should be < $1.

This somewhat defeats the price advantage of purchasing HDD on the open market rather than directly from Dell.

Alternatives might be aftermarket ZIF cables for iPod and Zune drives which can be found under US$10.... no idea if this would actually work, they just look very similar.

If you want to outright upgrade, rather than have multiple swappable HDD for your XT, you can use the ZIF cable off your original hard disk. It's a bit delicate but can definitely be done.

I do think this is one of the design flaws for the XT. I have really enjoyed the ability on other Latitude models to easily swap hard disks using their various caddies and greatly miss that ability with the XT.

    Hope the info helps.
