    Lcd least power usage color ?

    I remeber that back in the day of crts the least power was consumed when running black colors (pixels off) But how is it for lcds ? Which color ?

    The power consumption of the LCD is actually minimal. The real power user is the backlight.

    As for your actual question: it depends on what type of panel you have. Some will have minimal power consumption on black, others on white.

    Furthermore, for the electronics in the back and to a lesser extend for the LCD's a full-screen color consumes less than patterns. Dual pixel on/off paterns are worst for panels from XGA and on from there.
