Throttlestop works great in Windows but there isn't much love for old Intel CPU in Linux. There is phc but it requires building a kernel module and it's not actively maintained anymore. Therefore I wrote this simple shell script with help from @unclewebb and others. It changes frequency and voltage based on CPU utilization. I believe it's working well on my laptop so I'm posting here to help anyone else still using these old CPUs. Please leave feedback so I can further improve the script.
