Hi, title says everything :) Planning to upgrade my Lenovo G450 GM45 with T9300 to an E8335(2.93Ghz,6mb,1066fsb-same as T9800). Is it possible? Has anyone of you tried it? I'm a bit skeptical coz these chips are specifically made for iMacs though they have the same specs with their "T' series counterparts. Will really appreciate any help! Thanks!

Its basically a T series cpu with more power consumption. It should work in the xM45 boards.

Those chips run incredibly hot, I wouldn't recommend it in a Lenovo G series laptop (they already have poor cooling systems to begin with).

Thanks for the speedy response guys. These chips are so cheap on ebay, its hard for me to resist. I just hope my cooling handles the temps(fingers crossed).
