    Hello,

I don't know if I am posting this in the correct section of the forum so let me know if I am in the wrong place. I have a 2013 Lenovo laptop connected to an older Samsung monitor via HDMI cord. The resolution wasn't very good on the Samsung screen so I recently updated my Intel video driver in the hopes it would fix the resolution. It didn't, and ever since I updated the driver, if I leave my laptop for an hour or so and come back the screen is black and no matter what I do I cannot get the screen to come back on. I end up having to power it down by pressing on the power button and waiting for it to shut off. I switched the sleep mode to not come on for 4 hours but it still happens in less time. Does anyone know how I could fix this problem? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Have you tried rolling back the driver? Alot of OEM display drivers have issues when you update it directly from the manufacturer (AMD, Intel).
