I have Lenovo y470 for almost a year and I'm planning to replace the horrible and excessive thermal paste that Lenovo applied to the CPU and GPU. Just one quick question. When I looked at the hardware reference manual, I don't get the "b" position in the wireless radio switch in the diagram. For someone who replaced the thermal compund in their y470/570, are your wireless radio switch position in the "on" or "off" position during the disassembly and reassembly?

I don't see why it would matter what position the switch is in during the repaste process. Can you link us to the reference manual?
