    Hi :)

SInce i upgraded that notebook to a i7 2720qm and it currently being use as a htpc on my 4k tv. Yea well no 4k output.

I was wondering if i could use it wlan slot for a pcie dock..

But ive heard they have whitelist.

Any idea of what i can do? i got a 7950 i can use for that.

Some says you can boot with the wlan card and put it to sleep i think or something and switch them and open windows again and it will work since the laptop did not restart. Hotswap kinda?.

It running 24/7 so it could be enough for me to do that..

Currently the bios is password locked so i cant even know what version it is... Old owner never told it was locked..

    Thank you :)

Only dockable Lenovos are ThinkPad X, T, W, and U lines. Cheaper ThinkPads and consumer/gaming Ideapads and Essentials don't dock.

Those are not reliable and ready yet outside of the Alienware Graphics Amplifier and a very few others with their specific laptops. Give it time for these devices to be mainstream supported for most machines.
