    Dear Friends,

I have a Hewlett-Packard Pavilion dv9700t laptop running the 64-bit version of Windows Vista Ultimate.

I would like to record music from vinyl (45rpm's and LP's) from a preamplifier directly to the hard-drive of the laptop, but there is only a microphone jack for input. What kind of a connection/adaptor will give me a line-in jack for the cable from my preamplifier?

    Regards to all from

    Jack Owens

    Dear moral hazard,

Thanks for the pointer. I ordered a Behringer UCA202 U-Control Audio Interface from Amazon.
