So i just need ram 8gb to be exact (i will go for 4gb & 16gb sticks if priced right)

    8gb less then 50$

    4gb less then 25$

    and 16gb less then 75$

usually they priced 10-20$ more, but i dont care what brand or speed, ram is ram!!!

website doesn't matter as long as they use paypal.

And this latest windows 10 creators update, uninstalled drivers and deleted performance settings, flip my laptop up side down, Im really thinking of reinstalling windows and blocking all updates.

I can't remember how much I paid for my 16gb of ballistix. I think it was 94 dollars Canadian....do the conversion and it comes out close to your pricing. I got it from amazon.ca.

i'm not worry about speed cause ddr4 starts at 2133mhz which i consider to be fast. so anyone came across any ram deals. I have used all types quality and brands and didn't notice a difference unless i was using a intergrated gpu, (as for speed) so the major factor is the capacity.

Depends on your workflow/workloads. But 2133MHz DDR4 RAM has been shown conclusively to hinder any modern platform.

If you're just using this for personal use; continue your worry free ways. If (paid) productivity is the goal of this upgrade; greater RAM speed will make everything happen much more 'real time' for you.

Btw; $53 for 8GB is a lot worse than 16GB for less than $75 when all aspects are considered - on a modern O/S and a modern or semi-modern platform. ;)

In other words; highly recommend 16GB as a minimum. Save a couple of more days if you need to. You won't be sorry in the long run.

All depends on what you're using it for. What your other system specs are.

BTW, with Windows 10 you can't block updates. They will install eventually. Unless you completely disconnect from the internet.

Where, and how? I agree that with Ryzen, faster RAM nets up to 30% more performance with the AMD Zen family, but when we're just doing Word, or Powerpoint, or even up to basic Photoshop and light gaming, 2.133 GHz DDR4 RAM is plenty...

all im doing is some 3d rendering(cpu &gpu)/some light 4k gaming (30-50fps) and some video rendering

specs are dell precision m7710 [email protected] and gtx 1070 slight overclocked/ and 8gb 2133mhz(the current problem & looking for more) i would like atleast 12gb total
also you are able to use two different ram sticks at different speeds right, i've done it on other systems/laptops(m6500)(1333/1600) but non with ddr4

Applications i run usually Autodesk Inventor (alot) not to rough on the system though, used it on alot lower spec systems and ran flawless.

3dsmax, i run every now and then, don't really use the render, just importing/conversion/export

Keyshot 6 rendering (very cpu intense) more cores the better, and ram depend on how many 3d models you load( which i rarely do larger scenes)

lumion 6 (terrain rendering) very gpu intense, ram also depends on large scenes which i actually use it for larger scenes

photoshop/after effects every now and then

    Some games at 4k (arma,gta v,watchdogs,project cars,)

also i remember back when everyone was running ddr3 and made benchmarks of ddr3 2133mhz gave only 1-2 fps in games over 1600 or 1333

so i know more ram will be better, but i ain't rich either, i haven't picked any options just yet, i also bidded on a couple ebay auctions too, to see where that goes

so any links where some cheap ram deals would be, would be greatly appreciated

so i brought some 8gb ddr4 ram @2400mhz for 45$ on ebay auction. So my question is on intel website, it says the i7-6920hq only supports 2133 max also the 6700hq & the 6820hk, but i feel like i seen those cpus in laptops with 2400mhz+ ram, but luckily on dell website, the m7710 can be configured with 2666mhz ram. So thats strange, I'll guess I'll keep my fingers cross.
