Hey guys was thinking of getting some of this Liquid Ultra thermal paste made by coollaboratories.

I want to use it on the Die of my CPU(4900mq has no IHS) and the Die of my GPU(780m GTX)

The temps are amazing on it, the only downside is that it corrodes aluminium and is conductive.

So my question is, IS it safe on these heatsinks? Are they made of aluminium?

And how hard is it to remove in case I have to RMA my laptop?

    Thanks guys

    Aluminium heatsinks? Not likely.

However, if it corrodes any metal; it will at least 'scar' others.

Even if you can simply wipe it off in the future; the chemically 'distressed' look may still be abundantly evident.

    Good luck.

Gallium seems to only react with aluminium, it is completely safe with other metals. I'm hoping someone here has had experience removing it, despite what a Lot of people say, IT CANNOT DRY! It's 100% metal for goodness sake. I heard applying a tiny amount of heat makes it molten enough to remove like water from a windshield.
