This laptop i have is the dv7-1025nr in my signature. I recently bought it off ebay to salvage the screen the seller told me it had a liquid spill ( looks like coke ) and it didnt boot. Well it does boot and run fine ( im on it right now ) but i have a few questions
1: Could taking it apart possibly make it stop working
2:Should i try to clean it or just leave it
3: In the picture is this corrosion from the sata port?
This laptop is in new condition and there isnt any sticky stuff on it at all its all internal. I have been using this laptop for a day now and done some gaming on it it runs just fine.

Its only working because the liquid has completely dried.
I recommend taking the system apart and cleaning it properly. Use rubbing alcohol to clean up all of the liquid which has gotten inside of the laptop.
Taking it apart and cleaning it will not destroy the laptop as long as you dissassemble and reassemble it properly.
