What are the notebooks available with 1920x1080 or higher res screen, and sample prices for each? Anti-glare screens a plus.

    I know of the
    1. HP DV6t, anti glare 1920x1080 costs $1100 I believe
    2. HP DV8 1920x1080 glossy, cost $1300.

I think Dells XPS 15 offers a good screen, but I dont know a sample price.

newsposter - newegg doesn't carry all brands of laptops nor all the best configurations.

    Sager NP8130, 15" 1920x1080 anti-glare standard, 95% gamut screen +$100. Stock system i7-2630QM, 8GB DDR3 1333, GTX 560m, DVDRW ~ $1200, +$100 for Windows 7. Best bang for buck machine around at the moment.

Asus G53SW, same config as above for a little cheaper, but screen is not a high quality one.

Asus G73SW from amazon or newegg too. Very good display for a glossy LCD. I reckon there will be versions of the G74SX in that price range too soon.

I just purchased a Dell XPS 15 with B+RGLED 1920x1080, i7 quad core for $1350 post tax today. So you can add that to your list.

As stated, XPS series which have B+RGLED screens (much higher color gamut than standard WLED screens).

G series from ASUS are offered in glossy or matte.

Clevo rebrands have them too (Sager, Mythlogic, etc)

MSI does for their gaming series.

I mean if resolution is a must, consider business lines like the Latitude E6520/E6510, ThinkPad T520/T510/W520/W510.

We can list the myriad of laptops with "Full HD" resolution but maybe posting your system requirements or what you do with your laptop would be more helpful.

Are there that many sub $1500 laptops with 1920x1080 screens? Because 8 months ago when I was looking, there were hardly any.

All laptops in this category welcome :D Less expensive, the better.

if you looked in the business class laptops there are MANY 1080+ ones for under 1500 for the last year or more.

I think the above posters have covered a great number of the reguarly found ones.

There were HP dv6t's with FHD screens for ~$1100 earlier this week. I purchased a XPS 15 with the B+RGBLED for $1350 two days ago. So, yes there are sub $1500 1920x1080 laptops!

I feel like this thread should be in the What Laptop Should I Buy forum. You'd probably have better luck there because we can help you choose the whole package if you fill out the FAQ.

You can even snag a Thinkpad T520 with a high-color-gamut 1920x1080 screen for less than $1000, so there's plenty of options.
