    Hey guys!

Some people are having problems with a certain notebook, the problem is that when the sound is a little high, the computer starts to hang. Could that be a hardware or software problem?

Some observations: in XP it hangs a lot, while in 7 the problem is almost solved, with some minor hangs while playing games like Crysis. Also, with the "original" drives from the manufacturer's website it seems to hangs a lot more than when getting the drivers from 7 interface.

    What do you think?

    Any similar problems?

    Thanks!

What audio filters is your sound card using? One of the filters has set the input really high. Input gain is not a volume slider, it should be set to "auto gain control". Also try to switch sound card settings to "PCM 16 bit" and possibly disable any EQ. or 3D sound option that you may have enabled. You should be able to narrow it down and locate the problem. Test sound from DirectX diags.

Understood, but by saying that you´re assuming its a hardware problem, right?

It´s a lot strange, a bunch of people are getting the same problem as me, except by a few.

    Thanks!
