Hello, I have an HP Pavilion DV2000, and it's not letting me alter the GPU speed or memory-bus speed.
I installed nVidia nTune, and it appears to change, but when I restart, it doesn't stay the same.

Are there any tutorials for over clocking this specific GPU or laptop?

Was that supposed to be helpful?
I know how to over clock it, but it's not saving changes. It's presumably locked.

It's not locked, otherwise u wouldn't be able to change the speeds to begin with. What ur missing is a setting in the software that u used to OC that will save the OCed settings at restart.

So untill u find a program that u can save the speeds and have them load up everytime u reboot ur system, ur gonna have the speeds reset themselves.

Inside Nvidia nTune, you need to first save the profile with your chosen settings, and then create a custom rule the will load that profile on certain conditions. The first condition on the list is "The system first starts windows"...

The clocks are not going to save unless you save the profile and set ntune to autostart at bootup.

I have FCS Amilo Pi 1556 with 256 mb GeForce GO 7600 and this problem belongs to me also. A have my profile, but when i apply the new parameter, everything goes back to the old value. And I'm increase everything only with 10 MHz more than the original value. My Nvidia driver version are 6.14.11.6218 from 29.6.2007.
