In a thread i started from before, wondering why they didn't have a cell processor instead of the normal processors, and people here was kind to tell me why it would be like a suicide for Windows (the RISC and CISC thing)
here's the link : Cell and PhysX
Now, the Toshiba Qosmio is coming out with the Cell processor :/
Will it be good for gaming and so ? will it be better than high end laptops that have been out so far ?

did you um...bother to check the DATES on the articles before posting?
For your future reference, they'd added Cell to a laptop or 2 some time ago. It was used to help DVD/BD playback.. -
I didn't realize that it went back to 2008, I guess it's just because most of the people saying that it is not very practical to have a cell processor in a laptop. -
davepermen Notebook Nobel Laureate
it isn't. nothing's written for it, so no app will have support for it, except maybe some special stuff written for it like codecs. then again, any good notebook can playback all sort of fullhd nowadays (and even netbooks will so, soon). so no, it's not useful to have a cell processor in a laptop.
it's overrated and overmythed anyways. it's a nice little chip, but not more. -
You mentioned CISC and RISC
which is which?
What are AMD and Intel
Thanks
