    Haven't met a smart phone yet, but i7 QC based platforms with built in gpu makes me salivate...

    I'll be looking into that 'smart phone' thing when they have an i7 3610QM (or higher).

    Until then, (hot/noisy/power hungry) dGPU's and stupid little mickey mouse smart phones are at the same level for me (in the wish they were never born list...).

    This is a gaming system, there are plenty of plain boring workstations that just have integrated graphics.

    But for someone who wants 1080p gaming then this dedicated GPU is far from a gimmick.

    Also with optimus it turns off completely.

    In fact when idle all the fans turn off. So i'll stick to my high quality system while you look for another generic boring integrated solution.
