I have aln older model VGN 250N that is almost new. Worked for about a year when I spilled liquid on it. I havent had a chance to try and repair it. The battery lite flashes twice. I can power it on but after about 5 minutes, it just powers down. When the incident happened, I did take it apart, clean it up some, and put it back together. Its a fairly new laptop and I dont want to just trash it. Any solutions?

Thanks Barkley. I figured it would probably come to that. I know these motherboards are pretty pricey. Thanks for the info.

You could attempt to clean it and repair it if you know what you are doing. However if you didn't power it off, remove the battery and clean out immediately chances to fix it drop dramatically.

Your best bet would be to part it out on Ebay. The screen might fetch you a fair amount on Ebay.
