    Hi,

I'm looking for PLL model used in Asus UL30 / UL30A for someone to test for me if its CPU can be OCed with SetFSB or CPUFSB.
    It's GS45 Express chipset based.

Does anyone know those more generic PLLs for SetFSB that might work?

I was looking for disassembly photos like for Timelines but this time Asians were not so fast to do this.
If I would own UL30, I'd just test every single one until SetFSB displays correct, known FSB value.
It MIGHT turn out, that models without OC out of the box would gain it with using Power4Gear of OCable models (safe but naive) OR BIOS crossflash could do the thing (risky, but more probable).

UL30 supports Turbo33 so why bother?
OC out of the box, the Asus way :)

As far as I know only Asus ULX0v series has the overclocking feature. ULX0a doesn't.

I thought the 'v' just means dedicated graphics. I haven't done much research, though. I saw this link on Netbooknews:

The v does indicate dedicated graphics and afaik also the overclocking function.

Kevin who reviewed the UL30a for NBR said it did not have it.

@moral hazard: if it is OCable, I'd have no concerns about if to buy it or not

As far as I know, AnandTech in the only ULxxxt models existence information source.
Here, we can see some informations about Turbo mode.

but still nothing official + it states non V UL30A has Turbo Mode, and we know it hasn't
To be honest, it would be nice if V models would have this feature. In opposite to "t" models, V WERE announced. It would be also logical that models with dedicated GPU would need more CPU power, so Power OC profile.

I thought Asus was cooler than other brands, but in the end they just want to make money like anybody else.

He was missing Turbo from Power4Gear (Hybrid).
    Maybe this would help?

Did anyone try installing the 'v' ATK drivers on the 'a' machines
