anyone?
This is for a HP Folio 9470m which originally has:
AUO B140XTN02.5 1366x768 . See specs here.
I tried an LG LP140WD2-D4 which is not working. There is a picture but image is bad.
Here someone upgraded his screen with a HP Elitebook 8460p but also needed to replace his display cable to a 2-channel one which HP listed (part number) in the service manual.
But for the folio, HP does not even mention this part. I have a thread on their support forum which they don't answer...
So that is why I am searching for such a screen.... with much hope![]()

Do your model ever come with 900p screen? If the cable never existed, then it probably don't .
Otherwise check the manual, Hp one are pretty good and list all the parts. -
Hi Baiii,
This model comes with a 900p. But it is unclear how they get it working.
Parts can be seen here.
I have a post here on HP's forum asking why there is no mention of the display/lvds cable. The 2 screen types are mentioned though.
The display cable I have has a 40 pin connector on the board, 40 pin connector on the 1-channel screen en in between the cable splits towards the webcam.
The model on there website with the 900p screen also has a webcam. So it seems like in that model they might use 2 separate cables.... which might suggest that the motherboard is also different.
But then again.... on the previous parts link, there are no different parts (mobos, etc) for the 2 models. Only different screen..... -
Karamazovmm Overthinking? Always!
how about the panel for the folio 9470m at 900p?
or the x1 carbon panel?
you wont know if it works before you try, and take a look at those cables for the 9470m 900p version, if they are the same aside the different part numbers -
Theoratically the current display cable cannot work, because bandwith is used for the webcam.
Also, i don't know the part# of the 900p version...
panel is no problem te get one, cable is and also the question is the motherboard of this version and the 900p version differ... -
I checked the manual and it seems like it is just a drop in upgrade.

Edit: another thing you can do to confirm is try to obtain the model # from the 900p machine, use HP part surfer and compare the parts. -

Typically the cost of respinning the board to save a cent on the LVDS controller is pointless, if your model comes with a high res option then the LVDS should be 2 channel on the mobo.

Hi Guys,
I ordered a 900p screen from laptopscreen for this model. They wanted to send me a LP140WD2-TLD2, which is 2 channel lvds.
I was lucky to test my laptop with a friends screen (from HP elitebook 8470p) which is a LP140WD2-TLD4, also 2 channel lvds. It does not work.
The resolution is ok, but the picture is not ok.
The fact that the 40-pin cable is split to camera connection and 40-pin lvds connector together with above point out that i need more that just another screen....
But HP does not list separate parts besides 2 screens (HD and HD+)....
Looking for Slim 14.0" 1600x900 lcd screen with lvds 40pin 1 channel connector (bottom right)
