Hey, I'm looking for a TV Tuner for a laptop. I've got a Gateway P-7805u, which means my options for TV tuners basically consist of USB, and ExpressCard Type 54. What would you recommend? The last USB TV Tuner I saw that my friend had, lagged horribly. As in the Sound lagged behind the Video or vs versa. Is that something that's normal? What can I expect? I'd like HD, but not required, and the most important thing is that I can hook it up to cable, and record shows and other things via software.

hybrid means it supports both. if you look under "features"-
if you don't mind the gap, get the newer one.

According to the specifications on Newegg, that 34mm model can be made to fit an ExpressCard 54 slot:

"Also, with the use of the included Stabilizer, it will fit perfectly into a 54mm ExpressCard slot with ease."

Of course it will, but it leaves a nice gap that's an eye-sore.

Just notice you're from Ohio, me to, woot!

Anyone know if there's a video input program that uses very little memory and cpu usage? The Avermedia program this tv tuner comes with seems to unnecessary. I just want a program that picks up video in
