Just going to pick up a cheap 3.5" SATA 150/SATA 3.0 or ATA hard drive, but first I was looking for a decent enclosure with a fan. Which enclosures has anyone had experience with?

    Thanks

Thanks very much for the link. Decided on " APRICORN EZ-BUS-DTC-KIT Aluminum 3.5" USB 2.0 Backup & External Storage System", which everyone seemed to love so much on newegg and fatwallet. Has firewire, USB and a fan.

I have a Vantec NexStar 3 SATA enclosure - it's superb. I don't have a lot of experience with external 3.5" enclosures, but this one has an extremely nice build to it, very sturdy. No fans, but my drive doesn't warm up to much. It's a bit expensive though:

Some mainboard come with a SATA connector for the back panel panel, this can let you plug and play. You can directly to connect it without openning up the case's cover to connect to a SATA connector in the mainbaord.
