Does such a thing exist? An external 2.5" drive enclosure that can be run with eSATA but powered by USB?

Actually, I think most are like that: the data connection is eSATA and the power is through USB.
Vantec is my recommended choice:

Thanks. But I found this one.
Newegg.com - MASSCOOL UHB-UES254 Aluminum & PC Plastic 2.5" Black USB 2.0 & eSATA External Enclosure
Found out a friend of mine got one and says it works great. -
There is also this thread ( http://forum.notebookreview.com/har...-enclosure-supports-power-combo-usb-port.html), although that's more about running through a single combo eSATA/USB port than separate cables.

htwingnut, you do know that to get 'power over eSATA' you need the 'right' port to provide that power, right?
Most eSATA ports will not. -

This is the guy I have Micro Center - Eagle Technologies Consus P 2.5" SATA to USB/eSATA Drive Enclosure ET-CS2PESU2-BK, it works well, but comes with a usb to 5v dc circular connector.
I also have a NexStar3, which I cannot find anymore. It's powered by the usb port when using esata, so no additional cables to run esata.
So they are out there -
Got the Geeks.com HE-2521B today. Threw in a 320GB 7200RPM Seagate Momentus I had in there, connected it to powered eSATA and works like a charm.
Looking for an External 2.5" Enclosure with eSATA powered by USB.
