    Topic.

I have one of those unique 12.5mm 2.5" HDDs and I'd like to put it in an enclosure. Problem is, every one I encounter is designed for 9.5mm...too small to fit my HDD in.

I found a drive in the UK, but needless to say, I'm not in the UK, so shipping to the US is almost $30 all by itself, thus negating the value.

Does anyone know of any enclosure sold in the entire country that can hold a 12.5mm drive and provides an eSATA connection?

Many thanks in advance, as usual.

Don't you want to invest in a slicker WD external HD?

I just have them left over and don't want 500GB HDDs to go to waste just because I don't have an enclosure to put them in.

yea, I figured a docking station would work, but that's not a long-term solution. at least, not in the way an external enclosure would be. I guess these things really are rare.

Last time I used a 12.5mm thick HDD in an enclosure, I had an enclosure where the top was removable and then held it in place with a couple of strong elastic bands. Some of the enclosures use slide-in casings and others have removable bottoms.
