I am looking for a compact laser printer that cost less than 100 bucks. Must be fast (20 ppm or higher). Cost effective and can print hundreds of pages before replacing the toner and requires no hassle maintenance work. Must be able to print envelope too.

Can anyone give me a suggestion of which printer to buy?

I have never seen a new laser printer for under $170. Good luck.

Thanks for the link. The Brother HL-2170W looks tempting due to its wireless connection. But I don't know much about networking. Do you know if I need a router in order to use the wireless feature? All I have is a notebook with wireless Intel® WiFi Link 5100AGN (802.11a/b/g/n). Is the wireless easy to setup?
