Hopefully this is the right forum.. couldn't find a specific forum for monitors.

Anyway, I know little to nothing about buying monitors but after reading some reviews, have come down to 2 options.

    1) Amazon.com: ASUS VH242H 23.6-Inch Widescreen LCD Monitor - Black: Electronics
    2) Amazon.com: ASUS VH236H 23 Inch Widescreen LCD Monitor - Black: Electronics

Assuming the same price, which monitor would you buy out of these 2? It seems like the only differences are 23.6" vs 23" and 5ms response time vs 2ms response time. How come the 2ms response time screen has a lower base price though? Is there some significant difference that I'm missing?

    Thanks!

Take a quick read through this to learn a little bit about monitor technology (a lot of those figures aren't accurate) and you can probably find info on the panels that the above monitors use too.

What are you using your monitors for? What is your budget?

Do a search on the model number and read some of the customer comments about each model on Newegg. I read a bit about each and would say it would be a toss up as to which one was best.

It appears that either the Model VH242H has been out longer or has the better following since it has significantly more customer reviews, indicating more purchases.
