It looks like my Dv5t has a loose display cable.. when i sometimes slightly move my screen , it flickers and u get some green, pink multicolour blob on the screen.. its just randomly occurs but is irritating.. does anyone have any idea of how to disassemble the Dv5t and reach the cable easily as i want to tighten it or do something.

See if there is something broken or if it just wasn't in there right. I wouldn't do anything drastic. It looks pretty easy to get access to the cable where it connects to the motherboard. But another thing is that it also has a connection point behind the screen. Just go for the easy thing first and inspect it.

Replace the cable since you are going to open the display anyways. New cable is actually really cheap compared to many other components in your laptop.

Usually the cable is secured by rather strong tape in the display end and the motherboard side is also secure. Most common reason to that flicer is actually bad cable.

The thing is that there were no problems at all.. i've had the laptop for 16 months.. and just 2 weeks earlier this started... it only happens when i move screen sometimes... so it looks like its just loose... i will look at it 2 months from now and come back.. i'm not very good at all this lol..
