I just got a brand new Toshiba laptop. Windows 7 Premium 64 bit, Core 2 Duo T6600, N-Vidia Geforce 230M, and 4 GB of Ram. I love it. There's only one problem. The damn fan goes off too much! I don't mind the fan for games and stuff, but for idling and scrolling the internet I don't need to the performance.
I used to use NoteBookHardwareControl, and it always managed to keep my laptop cool on Power Saver mode. I loved that program. But it doesn't work with 64 bit or Windows 7. Sadly, I had to switch to something else. So I tried out RmClock. The Power Saver mode doesn't seem to lower my voltage or my temperature at all! On Maximal Performance the voltage is at 1.125 volts and on Power Saving mode the voltage is still at 1.125. The fan still keeps always going off. It's driving me crazy. I checked the undervolting guide but that seems too advanced for me. I just need a program that has a setting I can put it on when I'm on idle to keep it cool, and when I'm playing games to keep up the performance, just like NHC. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Don't think there is anythign you can do besides undervolting...
You can try replacing the thermal paste...cleaning out vents...
Maybe a laptop cooler? Large slow spinning fans are much quieter (to near silent) -

Follow the undervolting guide, it's easy.
Also toshiba has it's own "Toshiba Power Saver", use that.
And go into your BIOS and change the CPU speed to low and make sure "inhanced C states" are enabled.
