    Everest or I8kfanGUI for M1730? I really can't decide :/

I personally like forcing the fans on M1730 to 100% 24/7, but from what I hear Everest gives a much more accurate reading.

    Opinions?

Dude, how did you even manage to run I8kfanGUI on your M1730? It doesn't even work on my system. Could you elaborate how this can really be done?

Well if you really want all 3 fans to run at a constant 100% is thru' an X9000 chip OC'ed to 3.2/3.4GHz... All 3 fans will run 100% 24/7 regardless of temperature, be it idling or on max load. I have ran on my system. You may want to post in the Dell XPS forums to get more replies especially from owners.

32 bit OS uses the conventional install and run method.

If you have a 64 bit console it's a bit more complex.

Download the modified i8kfangui here: http://www.acaeum.com/images/I8kfanGUI64.zip

Extract to anywhere. Don't run it yet.

Install the latest version and run in test mode. Restart your computer, navigate to your i8kfanGUI folder > driver > faninst.exe. Set the boot mode to whatever you wish.

    Run i8kfanGUI, voila.

I8KFANGUI is pretty accurate in terms of temperature read outs, not exactly accurate on fan rpm's. For example, the fan in my E1505 is rated at 5100rpm, however when pushed to full I8KFANGUI reads 4300rpm
