I fried my secondary 4870 and a single 4870 is way to slow to play any games at my native 1200p resolution.
    I found a killer deal for a 660m for 150$
Has anyone tried any of the kepler gpus on the m17x r2?
Is it worth it for 150$?
Does anyone know of any better deals for upgrades?
I just want the most bang for my buck and also dont want to buy a card that wont work.

    Thanks in advance guys

I know the 680ms have NO compatibility issues with the R2s. Not sure about the 660ms. You may want to search the m17x sub-forum.

The 670mx works ok, so would guess the 660 will be fine. You may have to control the fans with HWiNfo because of your 940XM, I do with the kelper core of the 670 not sure if that holds true for the femi in the 660.Did have a problem with the Fn+f brightness control. but it was corrected with the 310.70 drivers. Good luck if you go ahead with the upgrade.
