So My current Alienware has a 1600x900 screen, I'm wanting to upgrade it to a 1080p 120hz 3d display, but my question is, can this be done, will the motherboard have the proper connectors?? I've been building pc's for a while, but it's the first time I deal with laptops, so I'm not sure how this works... Help appreciated.

I've done some research and found that I would need a ir-ribbon, but do I need a new bezzel for an Ir hole or something??? They have this screen for 108$ https://www.laptopscreen.com/English/model/Dell/ALIENWARE~M17X~R4/ which is very tempting, the cable would cost 20$, Any Ideas....

make sure you are the nvidia family, amd does not support 120hz, other than that call laptopscreen to actually figure out, but to save a lot of time just simply get the matte 60 hz will suffice

Yes I have a 660m, I know a regular 1080p dispaly would work, but If I'm going to upgrade I'd like to max it out. Does anyone have a 3d display, From more reaserch I now know the laptop has the right ports for it, but will it fit in the bezzel or do I need a new bezzel.
