    any one know if this laptop will accpet ddr2 6400 ram? reason i ask is that i says its compatible on the crucail website.

    how much of a difference does this seed make compared to 5300 speed?

    Adding more memory will speed things up nicely, and your hard drive will thank you. Especially if you're still running Vista on it. (Vista sure does a lot of hard drive accesses, even without running any apps!)
    6400 memory is faster than 5300 obviously, but as your laptop is clocked to suit 5300, it wont make any r/w speed difference at all, but there's no reason at all why it wouldn't work! ;)
