I want to upgrade my hdd, but can not determine what...
Will be there any significant difference between some SSD with mlc type and HDD with 7200 rpm? I think there will be significant difference in slc type but it costs 400 usd for 32 gb...
128 gb which modern ssd can provide is too small as for me, so i need some sort of 258 gb raid but it will cost too much so i think if 500 gb 7200rpm hdd can provide similar performance? So is it worth overpaying 400-500 usd to get some extra mbps? cpu - t9900. graphic - gtx 260m.

Solid state drive performance is leagues ahead of hard disk drive performance. You should still probably go with a hard drive if you can't afford the capacity you want with solid state drives, but solid state drives perform astronomically better than any hard disk drive. This is not an exaggeration.

I have think about it and decided to leave my hdd with present capacity but add ssd.
Please, could you advise me some perfect ssd with the capacity of 120gb and more... i look forward to osz. -
If you cant justify the cost, then you probably dont need one.

OCZ Vertex, G.Skill Falcon, Super Talent Ultradrive ME, Patriot Torqx PFZ, Crucial CT128M225...basically any drive with an Indilinx controller.

I would still go with HDD at this "moment". BUt I am for SSDs 100%, but it isn't that fully stabilize yet (price and technology). There could be some future advancements on its components plus the price is too high.
Don't go with the flow, wait til all this commotions subsided then purchase SSD... I would be the first in line, I only want a great value for my $$. -
wait until ssd's prices becomes more affordable

A little off the topic here, but have you guys heard about Freecom's USB 3.0 external hard drive?
I dunno why manufacturers still go for the bulky HDD... maybe it hasn't peaked yet or maybe they are also planning to develop the same using SSD.
Back on the Hard drive, I read it was quite good. If you're interested to read more about it, visit www.freecom.com
MLC SSD or 7200rpm HDD if budget not much
