Hi, i recently purchased this computer and it is shipping to me as i write, i just learned of the different trackpads available for laptops and how important they are. this is a relatively new computer and i was wondering if this had a synaptics trackpad or what, these seem to be the best with the most features. i read a review which said this had a rough pad but who knows.

does anybody know what this has or how i can find out when i get it, a friend has it and in the mouse properties it just says generic ps2 mouse. MSI's website has no useful information so please anyone with knowledge help :)

It should show up within your device manager (driver) as what touch pad your notebook carries.

    cheers ...

Not even MSI's support website as drivers for the touchpad.

If you want you can try install this synaptics driver. If it doesn't work, boot up in safe mode to uninstall it if you can't use the mouse.
