    3630QM - Nvidia 675m - 12GB Rams

Main question: Is it possible to swap in a 7970m (heatsink necessary? y/n)

While the 675m runs Dot0 2 and CSGO perfectly, I am slightly worried about the near-future competence of my gpuz. Examples would be Battlefield 4/Call of Duty 11 (r.i.p. cod2cod4)/ GTA V spring 2014 release anyone :D?
Currently when I run Guild Wars 2 on 1080p High [-supersampling, low character model #s] I get a beautiful 60~ fps while taking a stroll. However when combat starts I am hovering at 30-49 fps, bigger battles = bye bye quality gameplay. Turning things down to medium is only slightly better... and 720p make me sad =*(.

That's why I'm set on the 30%~ boost from the 680m (/regret not getting it in the 1stplace). It seems the 675m would run newer games like BF4 at med-med-high, while the 680m med-high-high, even high-high-high. This is where the 7970m comes in, not only is it cheaper but I am finding it rivals, and in some games, pwns the 680m [DEBATE!]. Is it even possible to marry the said ATI with the 3630qm? I failed to find anything on this.

I have abandoned my desktop for college - bcoz ladi3z dont care about the desktop but dis b1g thing on my lap gets em' w3t jajajajajajjjkJK. Need something to keep me gaming for 3~ years.

    thanks for your time

Would a clevo card work without problems?

For around the same price as the 680m I could get the 8970m 4GB/2GB... but for +$150~, compared to the 7970 2GB, seems AMD did a poor job with this years card. Wondering if the extra 2GB of memory would make any difference in 1 or 2 years... or if my CPU will bottleneck the 8970 anyways
