    MSI GT72 with no optimus not working with GTX1070 card.

    Bought a card for my roommate and tried it but it has horizontal moving lines, it's hard to view the display as i tried to find a suitable vbios, tried switching, but it only switches the integrated and discrete graphics

    model is with 4710MQ
    original gpu is 880m

    pls help.

    is the gt72 edp panel or lvds?
    there are a few model of gt72 with lvds panel, pascal does not work with the lvds connection


    you might also want to grab the gt72vr vbios and flash it on that 1070

    Sounds more like the card is dead; if it was a BIOS issue directly it probably wouldn't boot at all, or would just show black screen. Unless even using the iGPU it still doesn't display anything?
