Hi , i've hade a gx70 whit a dead r9 m290x , its seems it has been warmd and the laptop didnt recognize it.
So i've managged to do a 970m upgrade .but the laptop turns on , the fans inmidietly goes up to 100% and no post. So as i see its not capable of 900 series card, however i had a firepro m6000 laying around so i put it in.
Now comes the problem : Cuz of the apu , hd series driver goes up instantly instead of firepro dirver. Its hard to make the firepro driver work but its working.
Later plan is try some quadro cards and older GTX cards maybe older series are working, and if i had a chance to buy a mxm RX480 i will test it.(I know the cpu is weak for it ,but if it works its good).
If somebody have ideas what kind of gpu worth to try , reply it.
