Does anyone have any info that may help me along the way? Im wondering how I would go about using my TV as the bootup or "main" monitor that the laptop motherboard sees? if I disconnect the internal lcd will the HDMI plug act as the bootup display device or do I need to find some sort of LVDS ( i believe this is the internal lcd connection method) to hdmi connection?

Once I got a broken GX600, with absolutely no lcd attached to it. Hooked up to my monitor via hdmi and it worked just fine as a mini desktop pc.

Thanks for the input! I havent tried detaching the lcd yet and attaching an hdmi monitor to see if the monitor will show the bios screen. Did yours show the bios screen?

After I set up to only use the external screen via fn+screen buttons on the keyboard, then restarted it was worked fine on bios screen.
