Hi guys I have a probook 4510s and the charging circuit has gone on the MB (can only run off AC)
I need to replace the MB there is one on Ebay but the part no differs from mine
    Mine 464517-001
    Ebay 583080-001
I found a little bit about the board on HP's site about the Ebay board it says that its a GL40 system board with UMA Graphics Subsystem Memory
I can find nothing about mine
    The boards look identical
    info on my laptop
    model 4510s
    s/n CNU9312Y8N
    p/n AW998US#ABA
Was wondering if the ebay board will work in mine
    Thanks
    Rick

Most manufacturers use same motherboard with minor variations on different models, you need to look at the pictures and compare with your MB, do a thorough search, some Chinese dealers post clear pictures, check all components, chipsets and get all the information as much as you can.
I have replaced my Acer Aspire 5610z motherboard with Acer Travelmate 4200 MB today, of course, I have broken few plastic tabs and a screw left over after the completion but I'm satisfied that I can now upgrade my memory to 4GB.
As I said, you could see from the link below, HP using same MB for different models:

    Thanks for the reply
Wouldnt all I have to do is make sure it's the same socket so I can reuse my CPU. Of course the mounting screws and all the ports as well

Yes, that's correct but you have to check what type of wireless card as well, they may use different card for different models.
