    my desktop recently died , so to salvage my data i got a dock for my hard drive

    plugged it up to my laptop , all cool , but .....BUT i cant access my data because i " dont have permission" . the files can only be accessed by my old dead computer with that administrator .... is there anyway to bypass

    You'll have to take ownership of the drive.
