Currently getting about a 57 second reboot. Any way to speed things up?

Its on a Sager NP9130 with a Samsung 830 128gb SSD. I have RST installed, latest chip set drivers, as well as the boot/services tweaks.

How long does it take to boot past POST. Anything before and during POST is something you can't really do anything about.

Seems slow to me for SATA III, but then again if you got extra drivers and you have to enter a password, it could be entirely normal.

Install Windows 8 ;). With Samsung 830 SSD + AMD Quad Core laptop I can boot into windows within 2 seconds, just like this guy here.

seems slow for a newer machine. My Acer 7720 boots in 30-35 sec from power button, including entering my password. I'm using an ocz agility.

    (Bold above mine).

Re-Install without doing ANY 'tweaks' to Win7 SP1 - doesn't need it - and, as you can see 'tweaks' are actually destructive and not helpful with today's modern O/S's.

I also agree with installing (clean install) Win8x64 PRO - huge difference in performance and MS approved tweaks for just a little bit of learning curve to get the new O/S configured for you.
