    Making another partion of my hard drive the main one ?

    Okay so my hard drive has 320, but when I got my laptop i realised it was split . How do I change the other one as the main one ? Cause im downloading stuff, but my main partion is almost full .

    Mmm what? You'd have to reinstall Windows if you want to use as a system partition. Why not just save your downloads on that second partition?

    Yea sorry for the bad spelling, kinda in a hurry here ...

    Well im downloading something from a download manager, the manager is installed on that partion, how would I continue to download the files on the other one ?

    Does it not have a setting in the Download Manager to let you choose where the files are being saved to?

    Also, is the second partition empty? Sometimes the information in that second partition is necessary to keep (for example) recovery, media boots, etc.

    i use Gparted it will remove the partition :)

    "Acronis Disk Director Suite" has the capability of splitting/merging partitions without having to re-install the OS. Your old files will be saved too.

    I am sure there should be some other programs that have the similar functionality.

    I would just use a live linux distro and merge the partitions. though this can sometimes work out badly and cause data loss.
